Day 1
Arrival Lima
At your arrival, a representative will greet you at the airport and escort you to the Belmond Miraflores Park hotel. On the way, tips and relevant information for the next few days in the country will be provided. You will be received with special amenities: Roses & personalized welcome card, assorted nuts, grapes and Peruvian cheese board, Bottle of Sparkling wine.Dinner at the hotel.Accommodation in Lima.
Day 2
Today, join a special tour of Lima. Visit Lima's Historic Downtown, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Crossing the Main Square, also surrounded by the Cathedral, and the Municipality of Lima, a few meters away we will find the San Francisco convent, which has an enviable collection of old books and it is possible to visit an authentic network of catacombs. When you finish the visit to the built-up area, you will visit the modern Miraflores and San Isidro districts, ending the tour at the Love Park, located in front of the ocean, which shows a spectacular sight of Lima´s Bay Lunch at Cala restaurant, with an spectacular sea view. (A modern wood facade, two large rusty gates, the sound of waves, surfers emerging from the foam and the scent of the sea are the elements that welcome the guests to Cala). Afternoon continue to Barranco District shopping tour and visit stylish shops showcasing items by Peruvian artists and artisans. Dinner at Huaca Pucllana restaurant, on middle of an archeological site dating from the V century. Accommodation in Lima at Belmond Miraflores Park hotel.
Day 3
Sacred Valley
After breakfast and check out, we will depart to Lima’s airport, for a 55 minutes flight to Cusco. Once in Cusco, enjoy a one-and-a-half-hour scenic drive through stunning landscapes to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. On the way you will receive a brief introduction of the Andean culture. Visit on route the town of Pisac, renowned for its huge, colorful market. You will then continue to Belmond Rio Sagrado.Lunch at the hotel. Afternoon at leisure to rest and enjoy the Belmond Rio Sagrado hotel, set in lush gardens beside the rushing Urubamba River. Everything here at Belmond Rio Sagrado enchants as it soothes. Relax with yoga on the riverbanks or explore the Sacred Valley on horseback. Float in its heated pool or indulge at the Andean-style Mayu Willka Spa. As birds jabber overhead and wind whispers in the emerald trees, find your own harmony in the elements. Dinner at the hotel. Day 4
Sacred Valley
During your stay in the Sacred Valley, you’ll visit the town of Ollantaytambo, one of the oldest continuously occupied settlements in the Americas, a remarkable example of urban planning the Incas had, cobbled streets, picturesque streets with their aqueducts that still work, and agricultural terraces are attractive to stand by themselves.From the ancient fortress and temple we see magnificent views of the Sacred Valley. Then continue to Chinchero, a small Andean village located high up on windswept plains. You’ll also explore Hacienda Huayoccari and its superb collection of colonial and folk art.This hacienda built over 60 years ago belongs to one of the most prestigious families of Cusco. Since its inception, the family has collected a wide range ceramics and works of art, which are part of its spectacular decoration, enough to create a private museum and are now protected by the state.Lunch will be served at this place enjoying a fantastic view of the Inca Valley. Day 5
Machu Picchu
Board the Vistadome train to Machu Picchu. The Vistadome train will take you by the Sacred Valley of the Incas to the Cloud forest in about 2 hours train ride following the Urubamba River, the scenery is just fantastic with the snowcap mountains and river rapids The panoramic windows on the train located beside and above your seat will bring you close to nature, offering a unique connection with the scenery along the way to Machu Picchu, making you feel as if you were somehow part of the nature that surrounds you. Once in Aguas Calientes town (the closest town to the citadel) you will get a 30 minutes bus ride to the top of the mountain, where Machu Picchu is located. Machu Picchu, World wonder; Built in the middle of the fifteenth century, used to be one of the holiday homes of Pachacutec. However, is considered by some as a religious shrine, and both uses, the palace and sanctuary could be compatible. Both the architecture and engineering are a masterpiece, its unique architectural features, the landscape, and the veil of mystery that has woven around contribute to consider it a World Heritage Site and one of the new seven wonders of the modern world. After a guided tour you will get back to the town for lunch at Café Inkaterra, simply the best quality food you will try. Afternoon return to Cusco by train, you will enjoy a snack on board, as well as a fun and colorful entertainment show presented by the train staff. Day 6
Begin your day exploring the city of Cusco, visit the Cathedral, Koricancha complex, fortress of Sacsayhuaman and other impressive sites. Cusco city is a beautiful place full of secrets, the narrow stone streets built by the Incas make a great contrast with Colonial balconies, It’s almost a living museum where every corner has a story.You will visit the Monastery of Santo Domingo, which was once called Koricancha, is the largest Inca temple dedicated to the worship of the sun, according to the chronicles it was covered with gold leaf and filled with golden representations concerning nature. You will also visit Cusco's Cathedral built in 1539, is the main temple of the city and houses the headquarters of the diocese of Cusco and the nearby archaeological centers of Qenqo, Tambomachay, Pucapucara and the Fortress of Sacsayhuamán. Lunch at a Pachapapa restaurant at the neighborhood of San Blas. Farewell dinner at MAP Café restaurant, located in n the courtyard of the Museum of Pre-Columbian Art.Accommodation in Cusco at Belmond Monasterio hotel.
Day 7
Cusco / Lima
At appropriate time, transfer from your hotel to the airport for your flight to Lima, where you will be met and assisted with your connecting flight home.
